What we check

Fourteen questions for website owners

Each area answers one practical question — its technical name is shown below it in small print.

How we check each area and why it matters

How it works

Three steps to a clear overview

  1. 01

    You enter the address

The website's domain is all it takes. No registration and nothing to install.

  2. 02

    We check 13 areas

Just like SSL Labs, Mozilla Observatory, internet.nl or Google PageSpeed — in one overview.

  3. 03

    You get a report

A score, a clear explanation of the risks and recommendations on what to fix first. Also as a PDF and, if you like, compared with your competitors.

FAQ

Before you check your website

May I check someone else's website too? Won't it harm it?

The check reads only publicly available information, just like an ordinary visitor or a search engine, and puts only a minimal load on the website. It does not try to break in, does not fill in forms and respects robots.txt. The website owner can exclude it from the checks.

Does a good score mean the website is secure?

Not entirely. An external check verifies basic security and configuration. It will not reveal flaws inside the application or weak passwords — that is what a penetration test is for.

Does NIS2 apply to me?

It depends on the size of your company and its sector. The new Cyber Security Act (NIS2) applies to many medium-sized and large companies in selected sectors, and its obligations go far beyond the website. WebMeter shows eight basics that are visible from the outside; you will find more on the page NIS2 and your website. It is not a legal opinion or an assessment of legal compliance.

What happens to the result?

It is saved at a non-public link that cannot be guessed; anyone who has the link can open the report. You can download the PDF within 30 days. The report is deleted after one year at the latest. We do not send it to anyone ourselves.

How many websites can I check?

From one IP address you can check up to 6 different websites for free within 10 days. You can check the same website repeatedly, for example after fixing issues. Need to check more websites? Write to us at kontakt@webmeter.eu.

Can I compare myself with my competitors?

Yes. Once you see your website's result, enter up to two competitor websites below it and we will show the scores side by side, area by area. Competitor websites have their own free limit: 12 different websites in 10 days from one IP address. We compare scores only; you will find the details of each website in its report.

How much does a new website cost?

It depends on the scope — after a no-obligation consultation, you will receive a specific quote. I can build a new website for you from CZK 9,500 incl. VAT.

How do I opt my website out of the checks?

By email or with an entry in robots.txt — see the opt-out procedure.
